Quotes of Inspiration
As I move into the next five years of hormone therapy I do exhale. I do breathe. Cancer has no time table.
From tumor discovery through biopsy confirmation through treatment through recovery through healing through to the victory, it has been a surreal six month journey.
It may not seem long.
It may seem too long.
Cancer has no time table.
Every person in the world who ever hears those words, "It's cancer.", begins their journey with no time table and with total uncertainty. That's pretty much the only similarity as every person's journey is different because every person's physical and mental reaction to the cancer inside them is different.
Sometimes it can be difficult to be motivated to fight, I get it. Lifestyles are different.
Sometimes it can be difficult to be encouraged, I get it. Our minds are all consumed with "what if" thoughts.
Sometimes it can be difficult to be inspired, I get it. We can get to a place where we just want to do what is required of us to get through the surgeries, the aches, the pains, the treatments, the fatigue, the mind battles, and nothing else. I had quite a few days when I would come home and I knew it wasn't the fatigue, but I just wanted to lay back on the couch and think and just be. I am grateful for my village that didn't let me be for long. I am grateful for my creativity that I fought to tap into daily so I could create beautiful things.
While researching, as I like to do, I came across a few websites with inspirational quotes and stories from women who have fought their own good fight against breast cancer, survivors sharing those thought moments about different stages of their own personal journeys. It wasn't really about the website and their information, it was about the the words of hope. I understood them too well.
Not just cancer or a medical crisis, but whatever you are facing, find what can help you stay motivated to fight, surround yourself with people and things that help you stay encouraged daily, and realize you don't have to look very far to be inspired if you simply remember something that brings you joy or that you are passionate about. Sometimes you can find inspiration by just looking in a mirror.
