Poem - I Wanted To Cry Today

I wanted to cry today

But I didn't want to give cancer my tears

So I thought about all the heinous acts

and hatred against humanity

So I cried for others

So I cried for those who are no longer here

to shed tears of their own

I cried over the afflictions of mankind

I cried today

But I refused to cry over cancer

So I cried over everything else
